A new spin on He’s Just Not That Into You

by Erin

still1

Recently, while browsing YouTube, I came across something hilarious. Let’s just say . . . he’s really not that into you if he’s cursing you out! A very clever YouTuber spiked the He’s Just Not That Into You trailer with soundbites from Christian Bale’s infamous rant on the set of Terminator Salvation.

The results are hysterical, even if they’re not exactly family friendly. I knew that Ben Affleck’s character Neil was against marriage at first, but I didn’t know that he felt quite that strongly about it! And this really does go to show that nothing fazes Gigi - even a healthy dose of profanity. There’s more where that came from, too; the entire video is cleverly embellished with now-notorious phrases from the leaked audio recording. The video is below:

More from the set of The Bounty

Jennifer Aniston filming in Atlantic City

She even looks great in motion! Here’s more of Jen last week on the Atlantic City set of The Bounty, costarring Gerard Butler. She makes one stunning woman on the run, and as filming will continue throughout the summer, we can look forward to plenty more of Jen in action. With her fine form, it’s a wonder she hasn’t tapped into this genre sooner, as she is clearly a natural at this athletic part.

Her costar has been hard at work, as well. A few days earlier, Gerard was snapped filming a scene with actress Siobhan Fallon-Hogan, who plays a bail bondswoman in the flick. His character, Milo, even surprises her character with a kiss! Maybe his brown-bagged beverage bought him some courage. More photos of Jen, Gerard, and Siobhan below the jump.

Jen and Gerard on the set!

Jennifer Aniston rehearses a scene with Gerard Butler with a blue Cadillac and walking barefoot in Atlantic City, NJ

Lights, camera, action! Yesterday, Jen was back on the New Jersey set of The Bounty, this time alongside costar Gerard Butler. As she did on Monday, Jen spent much of the scene barefoot, with her shoes in her hand. She started the day rehearsing in jeans, and then changed into costume for filming. Looks like her character and Gerard’s have an ex-lovers’ quarrel - and she resorts to pedaling the bicycle cab herself! So much for a speedy getaway. Luckily, things seemed to go a bit smoother for Jen offscreen - she had a comfy pair of flip-flops waiting for her, and a ride of her own. No wonder she’s smiling! I’m really enjoying pictures of Jen on this set, and I hope that you do, too. Many more below the jump.

Bounty pics!

Jennifer Aniston filming the Bounty in Atlantic City

If you see a woman on the run in Atlantic City, do not be alarmed - it’s just Jen on the set of her new movie! She was snapped yesterday on the set of The Bounty, looking gorgeous as always.

In the movie, Jen plays Cass, a journalist on the run from her bounty hunter ex-husband Milo, played by Gerard Butler. When Cass skips bail, she becomes Milo’s next target. Comedian Jason Sudeikis costars as one of Cass’s colleagues.

In the scenes shot on Monday, Jen’s character is seen making a quick getaway by taking her high heels off and running to catch a bicycle cab. And despite the intensity of this scene, Jen did not share her character’s distress - she was all smiles in between takes. More pics under the jump!

Is he into her?

by Erin

camera

Is this just a friendly dinner between costars, or something else entirely? On Thursday night, Jen was snapped leaving a restaurant in New York City - with none other than Bradley Cooper, one of her costars in He’s Just Not That Into You (pics are at PopSugar). Bradley, who stars in current box office hit The Hangover, was seen opening the door for Jen as the two of them entered a black SUV. And rumors have circulated about these two for a while - so what do we think? Are they friendly, or are they very friendly?

Meanwhile, Jen is in New York to film The Bounty (formerly titled Bounty Hunter). So far, her costar Gerard Butler has been seen on the set - here’s hoping we see Jen in action soon!

Love Happens update!

by Erin

love-happens-poster

Jen’s movie Love Happens (formerly Brand New Day, and before that Traveling) costarring Aaron Eckhart is coming out on September 18th, and at long last, there is a poster - and a trailer! The poster (above) looks pretty sweet - I think it conveys the romantic tone of the movie very nicely.

Meanwhile, the trailer (at Yahoo! Movies) is even more intriguing - it does seem that there is more to both lead characters than meets the eye, and the visuals are just stunning. The film also looks to be filled with strong supporting performances from Martin Sheen, Judy Greer, and others. I can’t wait!

Finally, check out the official movie website - right now, there is a photo gallery and a link to the trailer, and the story is coming soon!

More from the Crystal and Lucy Awards

by Erin

Isn’t she lovely? Jen looked stunning at Friday night’s Women In Film Crystal and Lucy Awards - her silver minidress was a departure from her usual classic style, and she pulled it off beautifully. But it’s not just her gorgeous looks that made an impression on Friday night - while accepting the Crystal Award for excellence in film, she drew laughs as well. She poked fun at the publicity surrounding her love life, along with the fact that her film titles often mirror the headlines. Citing titles like The Good Girl, Rumor Has It . . ., Derailed, and The Break-Up, she concluded that part of her speech with her idea for a solution: “If any of you have a project titled Everlasting Love with an Adult, Stable Male, just go to my table!” Video is below, along with more photos!

More on the Management DVD

by Erin

management-dvd

As previously mentioned, Management comes out on DVD on September 29th. Well, Amazon already has it available for pre-order, on DVD and Blu-ray. They also have a couple of behind-the-scenes photos of Jen and Steve, along with an interesting Q&A with Jen!

I found one of her answers particularly interesting. When asked whether comedy or drama is harder, she said this:

J: I’m not sure how to answer that one. Life can be dramatic and funny all in the same day just like the material for a film. So I have to work from right inside. When I step into a role, I don’t think “Oh, I’m going to exclusively use my comedy persona for this job.” That label kind of goes out the door and I concentrate on being true to the character. I think Steve and I were both able to achieve that for this film.

This is something that I’ve always enjoyed about her acting. She doesn’t have a “comedy mask” and a “drama mask” - she plays the character first, and that’s why her transitions from funny to serious are always so seamless and true to life. This was very evident in Management, where she had to play emotional scenes in a pretty absurd scenario. She’s right - life doesn’t neatly categorize into comedy and drama.

Jen steps out for OmniPeace

by Erin

061109

Last night, Jen had a girls’ night out with her friends Courteney and Sheryl - and it was all for a very good cause. The friends showed up in support of OmniPeace founder Mary Fanaro, who has launched a line of t-shirts whose proceeds benefit the City of Joy, a center dedicated to the recovery of women and children affected by violence in the Congo.

Access Hollywood was there, and they talked to Jen, Courteney, and Sheryl about the significance of the line (video is at the link). Jen even told them some backstory behind the design - the shirts feature a collage of drawings from children of the Congo, as one of the services offered by City of Joy is art therapy. What inspired her to get involved? She tells People, “I am extremely lucky. But these women and girls need help – it makes you think.” She was later snapped with Demi Moore on her way out of the event - pics are at X17 Online.

This isn’t the only way that Jen’s helping kids. As previously mentioned, Smartwater has recently come out with a new label - a recent post by FitSugar reveals that these labels benefit Action for Healthy Kids, an organization dedicated to educating children on healthy habits for life. The design was inspired by a mural that Jen completed with children in the program during a visit to a school in L.A.

Don’t forget - the Crystal + Lucy Awards are tonight! Jen will be honored with the Crystal Award for excellence in film.

DVD release date for Management

by Erin

management-2

According to Blu-ray.com, a DVD release date has been set for Management! Image Entertainment will release Jen’s quirky, “touching” comedy on DVD and Blu-ray on September 29th. So far, there is no information available on special features, although as the release date approaches I will be sure to keep you posted.

Meanwhile, Jen is set to begin work on her next film, Bounty Hunter, next week, and it looks like her costar Gerard Butler is already hard at work! Celebrity Gossip has pictures of a scruffy-looking Gerard taking a walk on the New York City set of the brand-new flick. Gerard plays a bounty hunter whose latest assignment is to hunt down his ex-wife (played by Jen), who has skipped bail. Sounds like a hit to me!

Jen is dog’s best friend

by Erin

Clearance puppy

Jen has long been known for her love of dogs - she dotes on Norman and Dolly, and she brought her passion for our four-legged friends to her portrayal of Jenny Grogan in Marley & Me. And now it can be told - pet owners would trust her over any other celebrity to watch their pets.

According to Paw Nation, a recent poll on their site reveals that Jen comes away with an overwhelming lead - 70% of those polled would choose her as their most trusted celebrity pet sitter. She came out on top over Mickey Rourke, Nicole Richie, and Pamela Anderson. Her affection for her own furry companions is pretty clear - she has brought Norman and/or Dolly along with her on location on the sets of The Break-Up, The Baster, and of course, Marley & Me.

Brand New Day - or is it?

by Erin

traveling2

First it was Traveling, then it was Brand New Day . . . and it looks like Jen’s upcoming romantic drama with Aaron Eckhart is set for another title change. According to a recent press release from Universal, the movie’s new title is Love Happens, which certainly emphasizes the romantic part of this romantic drama! It is set for release on September 18th.

So what do you think? Personally, I’d just like to see a trailer! Very little is known about this movie, but with Jen and Aaron sharing the screen (along with a strong supporting cast including Judy Greer, Martin Sheen, and John Carroll Lynch), I am sure that it will be great! Jen’s costar Aaron has kept very busy since wrapping Love Happens last year - he will be seen alongside Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary.

More Smartwater!

by Erin

hpim0262

Jen is smart, and she knows how to show it! She’s shown her smart stuff in recent print ads for Smartwater, and in my recent travels, I saw this stunning one at the corner of Randolph and State here in Chicago. The copy talks about “pure temptation,” but a refreshing drink of water is about as healthy as it gets!

Speaking of refreshing, Jen is making good use of her time off to unwind. As we have seen previously, she has spent some time catching up with friends, and recently, she took the time to relax on her own with a spa day (X17 Online has the pics). In just 10 days, she’ll be hard at work once again - Bounty Hunter starts shooting in New York on June 15th.

She’s on the list!

by Erin

050509-11

This may come as no surprise to us, but according to Forbes, Jen is one of the most powerful celebrities in the world! She is #8 on their Celebrity 100, an index of earnings and media visibility. Thanks to her work in box office hits such as Marley & Me and He’s Just Not That Into You, along with smart business decisions including her continued endorsement of Smartwater and her work with Echo Films, Jen earned $25 million last year. She is one of the top actresses on the list, alongside Angelina Jolie (#1), Sarah Jessica Parker (#58), and Meryl Streep (#64).

With this, Jen continues an upward climb in the rankings - she was #17 on the 2008 list, and #44 the year before that, in 2007. Congratulations to Jen on a job well done!
