We’re all used to hearing some out-there rumors; in between Elvis sightings and alien abductions, some strange things have happened involving Jen as well. Last week, there was one particularly, er, alien rumor going around. I will not repeat it here, as I don’t want to even remotely contribute to its spread, but I can see the grains of truth that led to its formulation, albeit in a most roundabout way.

So I’d like to hear from you: What is the strangest Jen rumor you’ve ever heard? Also, why do you think that the rumor was spread, i.e. what facts, if any, led to the published conclusion?

Jen spent this July 29th relaxing with friends; she epitomizes summer chic in these photos (more at PopSugar). This gathering, hosted by Courteney and David, also boasted the attendance of Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher, among others.

When one thinks of Bruce Almighty, fashion isn’t exactly the first thing to come to mind. However, Jen’s costuming as Grace was, in fact, a very important facet of character development. As a preschool teacher living in Buffalo, NY, Grace tended to favor more casual looks, as is evident by her penchant for peasant blouses and her tousled, low-maintenance hairstyle. While there’s no denying her beauty, her girl-next-door look was an important foil for the flashier beauties by whom Bruce would eventually be tempted. Her one formal outfit in the film is, without a doubt, stunning, but Grace is at her most appealing when she’s her everyday self, doing her small part in the world to “be the miracle.”

A few more pics have surfaced from Jen’s Nobu exit (the Nobu in question is the one in New York). It turns out that Paul was not present; according to Popsugar, Jen was accompanied by some usual suspects including the ever-present Chris. Wonder what brings our girl to the Big Apple?

The Daily Mail brings us a picture of Jen leaving Nobu, supposedly with Paul in tow. So far there doesn’t seem to be a picture of them together, but other sources report seeing him leave the restaurant very near the same time as Jen. Paul or no Paul, she looks lovely as always!

So, it’s been reported that Jen was spotted at the recent premiere of Love and Other Disasters. E’s Reel Girl gives us some interesting details from this sighting (interestingly, no pictures have surfaced). Stay tuned!

Director Alek Keshishian’s Love and Other Disasters—a romantic comedy about a Vogue intern (Brittany Murphy) who wants love for all—screened Thursday night at the Directors Guild. SmartWater spokesmodel Jennifer Aniston showed up with a bunch of people from her production squad, along with her manager, Aleen Keshishian. Aleen and Alek are brother and sister.

Still with me? Good.

So, at the premiere, Alek tells people he’s working with David Fincher (he of Fight Club and Panic Room) on something but can’t give any details. And suits, crafty and Sherlockian as they are, start to connect the dots. Aniston and Aleen are attached at the hip. Aniston’s producing partners are in the house. Sure, this could be just a friendly affair. But it could also be that Aniston will be appearing in Fincher and Keshishian’s mysterious project.

OK! brings us a very interesting tidbit; apparently, Jen and Paul have been spotted shopping for baby items!

On July 17, the former Friends star and her chiseled boy toy, dressed alike in jeans and tees, went shopping together for baby products at the exclusive Petit Tresor boutique in the exclusive Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles.”They were holding hands and whispering quietly to each other,” an eyewitness reveals exclusively to OK!. “Jen appeared to be very happy. They were acting like a married couple while shopping for various baby-related items like cribs, diaper bags and changing tables.” According to the source, Jen, who often shops at the trendy store on Hollywood’s hip Robertson Boulevard, for her friends with babies, was also asking the sales staff about delivery options. The couple left the store with a $195 blue cashmere bear from Alvin & Sparky.

Requisite grain of salt and all, but there’s more: according to the Gossip Girls, there are pictures of this outing. As this would be the first real photograph of the happy couple, it seems that there is something of a bidding war for their release. Stay tuned.

Jen’s fashion choices have always inspired envy, and her onscreen style is no exception. Her look in Rumor Has It has become something of a fan favorite, as her wardrobe in this film epitomizes the simple, stunning look that Jen is famous for. Even though the film is set in 1997, the classic pieces that Jen wears as Sarah would not be out of place in the present day.

She spends much of the film in an easy red wrap dress (above), and at Annie’s rehearsal dinner, she shows that the perfect little black dress never goes out of style. She even does casual perfectly; the tee-shirt and jean combination below is a look that Jen has worn variations on offscreen.

As Alex Cayley of the New York Times points out, Jen herself was a trendsetter in the time period, so it’s perhaps not surprising that this film’s wardrobe looked so right on her. As she often does, in this film she wears her hair long and straight, referencing a trend set in motion by the sleek styles that she wore on Friends. Even her accessories garnered attention; the Hogan “Lizzy” bag that she carried throughout the film created a frenzy. Jen looked beautiful as Sarah, as her look was chic, easy, and far less complicated than the character’s personal life!

Faded Youth brings us yet another pic of Jen in her driveway. While the article refers to her as “single again” (and depending on which tabloid you ask, either that’s true or she’s getting married), it does seem curious that the photogs continue to stake out her driveway for the Jen-and-Paul money shot.

As they do, Celebrity Babylon has once again given us new Jen candids along with their own rather interesting take on them. She is seen here wearing an OmniPeace shirt; the sales of these shirts and other goods at http://omni-peace.com/ benefit Millennium Promise, which aims to end extreme poverty by 2025.

What many sources reporting this seem to forget is that Omni means all. This is not a partisan issue, and this is not a team issue. Each and every celebrity who supports this cause is doing good for humankind. Altruism, at its best, is a cooperative effort, and it looks as though Millennium Promise is well on its way to epitomizing that ideal.

During her Friends days, Jen was a regular at the Emmy Awards, as she and the series had garnered many nominations (and a few wins) over the years. So a few months after the series ended, September of 2004 brought Jen’s final Emmy appearance for Friends, as she was nominated once again for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

With the show over, Jen focused on film; at the time, she was filming Rumor Has It, and she was slated to begin work on Derailed soon after. And in true film-star style, she brought a sophisticated glamour to the red carpet. Her beautiful beaded Chanel gown was complimented by long, flowing locks and a golden glow. Cliche though it may be, I’ll say it anyway: She looked like a Greek goddess.
