Jennifer Aniston Watch

Jen looks serene in this still from her upcoming film Management - and she’ll be putting that serenity to the test in coming months, as it looks like she’ll be a very busy lady! As TIFF rapidly approaches, their website has updated, with screening times and a review - along with credits that list Jen as an executive producer! File this one under “things I didn’t know” - I had no idea that alongside her role in front of the cameras, she had her producer hat on as well. This just makes the upcoming premiere all the more exciting - I’m sure that we’ll see plenty of Jen on the promotional trail for this one.

However, it looks like Jen’s not about to rest on her laurels anytime soon - recent pictures seem to suggest that she’s got something else in the works! Not only has she been spotted more than once in recent weeks with a script in her hand, but she’s also been photographed on her way to and from meetings lately, and in the past couple of days, it looks like she took care of some more business. On Monday, she was snapped leaving her office (pictures at Gossip Girls), and even under shades and an OmniPeace hat, there was no hiding her smile!

She was then photographed yesterday arriving at Madeo (pics also at Gossip Girls), and it is reported that her lunch companion was none other than Woody Allen! Mr. Allen has more than a few comedic credentials to his own name, so there’s no doubt that a collaboration between him and Jen would be a wonderful thing. Amusingly, Entertainmentwise refers to Jen’s smart jacket-and-jeans ensemble in the latest pics as a “post-John Mayer makeover.” Somehow I feel like I’ve seen this “new look” before . . .

Jen and John in Miami in May

I didn’t want to believe it, but when even People’s saying it, there’s probably at least a grain of truth involved. It began as whisperings and over the past day has turned to a dull roar - “sources” are now reporting that Jen and John have split.

You all know what I think of “sources,” but in this case the sheer volume of coverage has led me to at least consider the possibility that there’s some truth to this. While things looked like they were going smoothly, as fans we are on the outside looking in, and without hearing anything directly from the parties involved, at best we are guessing at what happened. While some of the stories going around involve dramatic scenarios, the truth may be closer to Us Weekly’s report that things simply cooled between the two.

As I said, we are on the outside looking in, but it looked like there were some good times between these two! However, many of us can relate to the fact that this is not always a surefire recipe for lasting love. Hopefully, whatever happened was in the best interest of both parties involved - both Jen and John seem to be very thoughtful about such matters. Here’s hoping that they are both allowed some peace in coming days, both in their daily lives and from the media.

Jen has always had a glow about her, and these days it seems to be brighter than ever! She was snapped shopping at Barney’s on Wednesday, looking summer-chic in a tank top, pencil skirt, and her Tom Ford “Jennifer” shades (see pics under the jump and at PopSugar, along with FabSugar’s advice on how to get the look).

It’s no wonder Jen’s looking so happy lately - she and John are enjoying more and more of each other’s company lately. Jen has been a regular presence on John’s summer tour, and according to People, Jen has gotten along famously with John’s friends and colleagues on the tour bus. And just as Jen has gotten along with John’s friends, John has gotten to know Jen’s friends as well - the pair recently visited Courteney’s house together. As John’s tour continues on, I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this adorable duo.

John Mayer plays at the Shoreline Amphitheater, Mountain View, CA on July 26

As I have previously mentioned, John’s tour is currently on its California leg, and indeed, all eyes have been on him this weekend. One thing’s for sure, though - Jen’s not the only one sporting a new look! John debuted a newly cropped ‘do on Friday night at his Maryville concert. No word on his reasons for opting for this streamlined look (above), but E! Online has their own mildly ridiculous theory.

John’s been playing with the passion of a man in love lately, and while it would be presumptuous to assume where his inspiration came from, fans in Irvine on Sunday night noted that he had brand-new material - a song titled “Taking On Water.” Try JM has video and a transcription of the lyrics. And guess who was on hand to hear the new song? According to People, Jen was in attendance in Irvine, and despite John’s assertion that the evening would be about “more music and less talk,” he did say of his rendition of “Free Fallin’” that “just like me, this song gets to sleep in its own bed tonight.”

So where to next? John has one more California stop, in Chula Vista, before he moves on to Phoenix. Obviously, there is no word on when, where, and whether Jen will join him on later stops, but it will, as always, be a pleasure to find out whether she does - and whether John has any more new material. New pics confirm what several eagle-eyed Jen fans noticed in the blurry pics taken earlier this week - Jen has bangs now! She was snapped leaving a house that may or may not be John Mayer’s (pics above and at Faded Youth) and looking adorable with a wispy side fringe. Despite previous tonsorial trickery, she’s not on a film set this time, so it’s safe to say that this is the real deal. I have learned from my gullible ways, after all. Really.

So what do we think? And is that really John’s house? We know that he’s in the state, thanks to his tour schedule, and it looks like he made time for Jen as well.

Jen’s been a busy woman lately - within the past year alone, she’s filmed four movies! It’s no wonder she keeps getting invited back - audiences love her, and Forbes has done the math to prove that she is one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars. The Philadelphia Daily News reports that Jen is #8 on the “bang for the buck” list, bringing in $10.48 of box office revenue for every dollar she is paid. With those four films set for release in coming months, it seems that she’s poised to continue that hot streak - I know that I, for one, will be first in line.

Speaking of upcoming projects, could Jen have another one on the way? PopSugar has pictures of Jen keeping cool in a ponytail and shades - and holding up what looks like a script! There are many projects rumored to be in the works for her, especially with Echo Films up and running, so time will tell whether she’s got something brewing for real.

Meanwhile, the rumor mill is in overdrive about Jen’s relationship with a certain someone whose name starts with John and ends with Mayer. Star reports that Jen and John had dinner together at Madeo on Tuesday night. According to the mag, they were very affectionate with one another and even ordered the same thing - Italian sea bass with red wine. OK!, meanwhile, is reporting that the already gorgeous Jen is making an extra effort to look good for her man, spending money on private yoga lessons and a personal organic chef. Somehow, I don’t think that these are new developments for Jen - she has practiced yoga for a very long time, and has always had healthy habits, so I get the sense that she does these things for her own well-being. It makes a good story, though.

Well, that didn’t take long! Just a few days after being spotted and snapped by fans here in Chicago, Jen was photographed yesterday leaving Sunset Towers in LA, sporting an adorably tousled ‘do (check out Gossip Girls for the pics). She was there enjoying dinner with a friend, and clearly both ladies had a lovely time, while her beau played in Salt Lake City. Of course, it shouldn’t be hard for John and Jen to reunite over the next few days - his next five tour stops are all in California, and certainly it wouldn’t be a stretch to guess that we’ll be seeing Jen at one of those shows! He’s been playing like a man in love lately - and can you really blame him? Her wisdom, her sense of humor, her stunning good looks . . . who wouldn’t be crazy about a woman like Jen?

As many anticipated, Jen and John spent the better part of this weekend right here in Chicago, and while I didn’t manage to catch them in action, other Chi-town sources had better luck! After John’s Friday night show at First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre in Tinley Park, the pair headed up to the city and according to the Chicago Red Eye, the pair checked into the Peninsula. Fans might recall that this the Peninsula is a favorite for Jen - she stayed there when she was in town filming The Break-Up and Derailed.

It seems that Jen was more than happy to share other favorite Chicago spots with her man. After a low-key Saturday that included some shopping on the Gold Coast, the pair hit Mia Francesca for dinner. According to Bill Zwecker at the Sun-Times, Jen and John had wonderful things to say about their dining experience:

Aniston told the staff her talapia ”was about the best fish I’ve ever had,” and Mayer seemed equally delighted with his veal parmesan.

According to Liz Crokin’s blog These Boots Are Made For Stalking, the pair lingered over their food late into the evening before making a stealthy exit - although one fan did get a pic! Check out the above link for a snapshot of Jen and John on their way out of Mia Francesca.

They left the Windy City on Sunday to head to Colorado for the next stop on John’s tour - however, it’s clear that these lovebirds made the most of their time here, however brief!

Turns out that the People item was on the money after all - Jen has been in LA lately, as evidenced by some recent pics. Jen was photographed shopping at LA boutique Noodle Stories, looking casual and comfortable in jean shorts, flip-flops, and a shirt that looks like it could be borrowed from a certain someone! So where to next? The talented Mr. Mayer plays Tinley Park, IL tonight, and eyes and ears are wide open throughout Chicagoland for the singer and any possible on-the-road companions. Wonder if Jen’s joining him? We all know how much she loves Chicago! Let’s put this one in the “stay tuned” category for now . . .

A grinning Angelina Jolie on the cover with a (seemingly) miserable Jen in the sidebar - is it 2005 all over again? The cover artists at In Touch were feeling a bit retro this week, as they have created a cover that looks all too familiar - despite the fact that the image conjured up by it is pretty far-removed from Jen’s current reality, as is the story that made the sidebar.

It makes sense that In Touch, like any celebrity weekly, would cover a major celebrity birth, and a twin birth at that! As other covers for this week come out, I’m sure that many will dedicate space to little Knox and Vivienne. So what, then, brings In Touch to Jen Watch Court? Their decision to run a Jen sidebar - during a week when Jen was neither seen nor heard.

Gossip publications thrive on speculation and exaggeration, and stay alive for as long as the dramas in their pages do. So it maybe isn’t surprising that a “John betrays Jen” story, most likely courtesy of the ever-reliable “sources,” would surface this week. The “betrayal” is in all likelihood a very creative interpretation of John’s past-tense comments about fan hookups, while the picture used in the sidebar was taken several weeks ago, during an arrival at LAX that seemed to double as a convention for aggressive paparazzi.

What we do know is that lately, Jen has managed to evade photographers and the press, with only a few sightings hinting at her whereabouts. People says that Jen has returned to L.A. and was seen having dinner with pal Jennifer Meyer last week, although fans at John’s venues still hope to catch a glimpse of Jen at the gigs. Wherever Jen is these days, it does not seem like her reality matches up with the tabloid storyline. She is simply living her life.

Verdict: Guilty of unfortunate juxtaposition.

The couple that hydrates together stays together? Bauer-Griffin has brand-new pictures of John enjoying a refreshing bottle of Smartwater as he leaves for tonight’s Jones Beach gig. If the aforementioned rule applies, this bodes very, very well for Jen and John. So does his recent assertion that fan hookups are in the past, as People reports. At the Z100 Lounge last night, he kept quiet about his current relationship with Jen, but he candidly responded to an assortment of questions from fans.

Speaking of all things Smartwatery, another Smartwater ad photo has surfaced! Check out the first picture in this entry at ohnotheydidnt. As always, Jen rocks the trench coat like no other - and how sweet are those kids?

As John’s tour moved on to its North American leg in recent days, he and Jen have evaded the paps - but fan sightings of the pair have been plentiful! The first stop on the tour was Milwaukee’s Summerfest - and according to People, Jen and John arrived together in style:

The happy couple arrived at the city’s annual Summerfest music festival at around 5:30 p.m. Aniston – wearing black flip flops, a polka dot skirt and a white tank top – and Mayer stepped off the tour bus holding hands, said one festival employee.

“They looked cute together,” said the worker. “And she looked like she wasn’t trying too hard, like she was just being herself.”

During his performance, John also addressed the myriad (often ridiculous) rumors surrounding his personal life:

Mayer made no direct comment about his special Friend, but he did address the constant media attention he’s gotten lately. “Let me tell you, if it happened on the Internet, it didn’t really happen,” he said. “I’m going to scour the Internet for the most vulgar things people have written about me and I am going to a make a record, I swear.”

People also reports that at his next stop, in Maryland Heights, MO, John had even more fun at the expense of gossips the world over:

Instead, he playfully peppered his nearly two-hour concert with dubious confessions designed to feed those who were curious about his private life: He fears the color green. He weighed 400 pounds when he was 12. He wrote the lyrics to the Kenny Loggins hit “Danger Zone” – at age 9. And he was “33 percent done” with building a time machine.

“When I was a child I would kill small animals and wear their teeth as necklaces,” he deadpanned. “True. Print that. And I’ve always felt deep down that I was born a woman.”

Fans spotted Jen in the audience during the pre-show soundcheck, but it seems that she relocated during the actual show. As the pair left the show, fans approached them for autographs! According to Chicago Red Eye’s Eye Contact, John opted not to give autographs, but Jen did give autographs to several lucky fans after asking John’s permission - she didn’t want to steal his thunder, but he gave her the go-ahead.

John’s next show was in Indiana, and on July 4th, Casey of Moosh In Indy fame saw Jen and John enjoying a low-key lunch at Shapiro’s deli! It seems that even celebs appreciate good pastrami. She didn’t get a pic - but her story is very entertaining.

Most recently, they hit the Rothbury festival in Michigan, an eco-friendly festival held at the Double JJ Ranch. From the Detroit News:

But something tells me she’s not camping for the weekend. Aniston showed up to watch her beau John Mayer’s set, and she’s standing side stage in a floral print dress. Backstage security is tight — so tight, even the Double JJ owners are locked out of the on-stage area.

Finally, much has been made of Jen’s resemblance to John’s opening act Colbie Caillat. That friendly smile, that lovely long hair . . . what do you think?

As seen above, Jen plays mom-of-three Jenny Grogan in her upcoming film Marley & Me - and OK!’s latest cover story claims that Jen is in a hurry to follow suit with a brood of her own. The magazine has “sources” claiming that Jen has put things on the fast track with John, in order to start a family:

“It wouldn’t be much of a surprise at all if they moved in together by the year’s end,” a friend of Jen’s tells OK!. “And if they do, you can bet that there will be serious discussions about having children.”

First of all, I’m not going to touch the fact that their cover picture is nearly three years old. There are more recent file photos out there. True story. The more pressing point, though, is the sheer ridiculousness of the story itself. The phrase “baby time” will forever be associated in my mind with only the most off-the-mark tabloid stories, thanks to a Star cover a few years back that used that phrase alongside a picture of Jen on vacation with Brad in Anguilla - and by the time that cover hit stands, the world knew how that vacation would end. Talk about lousy timing.

In the case of this most current story, where Jen is moving things along with John at warp speed, it is clear to any observer that even though they seem to be crazy about each other, they are taking their time. In fact, John said as much on Friday night; according to People, he told the crowd at Brixton Academy (where Jen watched from the upper level) that “every relationship someone steps into might somehow shake you up a bit. So I’m gonna take my time a little bit.” You can tell that he’s crazy about her; check out this YouTube vid, especially around 3 minutes and 15 seconds (those who are familiar with the song know that it does not normally go like that!). Jen has reciprocated his affections, taking pictures of her man at Hard Rock Calling. And who can forget their memorable exit from La Famiglia on Saturday night?

Nevertheless, the folks at OK! have gotten way ahead of themselves. I know, it’s shocking that a tabloid would lose the plot, but what are you going to do?

After John’s performance at Hark Rock calling on Saturday, he and Jen celebrated another great show with dinner at La Famiglia in London, according to Faded Youth. As you may recall, this is the same restaurant that Jen enjoyed with friends last weekend, and it seems that she enjoyed it enough to come back!

After that, Jen was snapped at Heathrow Airport on Sunday, en route back to the U.S. (pictured). It appears that she’s headed back to L.A. for now; will she join John on the road in the U.S.? While John rocked the stage at Glastonbury on the same day that Jen flew out, his next stop is Milwaukee’s Summerfest on July 2nd. Where in the world is . . . Jennifer Aniston? She has been quite the jet-setter lately; in the past week alone, she has been seen leaving Los Angeles, arriving in London, and leaving London to promote Marley & Me in Amsterdam earlier in the week. So what has she been up to since then?

Those who have read the book might recall that one of Marley & Me’s most memorable scenes took place in Ireland. Well, despite the fact that most of filming wrapped up last month, Jen joined Owen and the crew for one last scene this week. According to the Irish Independent, Jen, much like Jenny, enjoyed everything that the Irish countryside had to offer:

Ballynahinch Castle manager Patrick O’Flaherty said that Aniston enjoyed her first sight of Ireland.

“When she was leaving, I asked her what she thought and she said it was the ‘most wonderful place’,” Mr O’Flaherty said yesterday.

“She particularly enjoyed the helicopter ride from Shannon because it was a clear day.”

He added that Aniston felt comfortable walking around unaccompanied — a big change from her usual arrangement where her minders watch her every step.

“She was quite happy to sit in the bar before dinner and walk in the grounds. I think it’s a west of Ireland thing — we’re not shy but we’re not going to bother you,” Mr O’Flaherty said.

After filming wrapped up, Jen then headed back to London to catch up with John on his tour. On Friday, he played at Carling Academy Brixton, and Jen was there, enjoying a view from the top. From People:

Fans outside the gig said they had seen Aniston sitting in an upper level, playing with her hair watching the singer, and she and Mayer were seen leaving around 11:30.

Jen was spotted supporting her man again on Saturday (pictured), taking pictures from the side of the stage during John’s set at the Hard Rock Calling concert in London’s Hyde Park. According to the above People article, Jen joined John in the Artist Area backstage both before and after his set. Check under the jump for more pictures.
