Friend Spotlight: Cameron Diaz

As established in a previous entry, recent rumors have Jen bonding with Cameron Diaz over their recent shared experience with Dr. Raj Kanodia. However, those who follow such matters know that Jen and Cameron have known each other for far longer. The ladies have known each other at least since 1996, when they shared the screen in She’s The One. Jen plays Renee, a frustrated wife whose husband is having an affair with Cameron’s Heather. Needless to say, their offscreen relationship is far less antagonistic. Furthermore, Dr. Kanodia is not the only “mystery man” the two share, as they have a mutual friend and hairstylist in Chris McMillan; Chris has even been quoted as saying that Cameron first sported the hairstyle that on Jen would come to be known as The Rachel. Luckily, from the looks of things, there don’t seem to be too many “copycat” accusations flying around! Jen and Cameron have been spotted together at numerous gatherings, including a John Kerry benefit in 2004 (pictured), and Cameron was even invited to Jen’s wedding in 2000. It speaks highly of both women that they’ve maintained their friendship through so many years in Hollywood.

He created the now-notable “Rachel” hairstyle (which, as noted previously, was first sported by Cameron Diaz). Ever since, Jen has trusted Chris with all of her many tress changes, and they have enjoyed something of a symbiotic relationship, as his own success as a hairdresser has grown tremendously. They have grown close on a personal level as well; he is often spotted with her out and about in L.A., and he often travels with her for press junkets and location filming (such as the Chicago filming of The Break-Up. He is even said to have been a critical support immediately following Jen’s divorce. [...]
