Jen’s upcoming projects
Jen has a number of possible projects lined up; some have definite plans for production, while others are rumored for the time being. As Jen fans, here are some of the projects that we can look forward to:

Wanted Wanted, based on the novel by Kim Wozencraft, is about a young policewoman named Diane Wellman (played by Jen), who, through the corrupt motives of her superiors, is framed for drug posession and imprisoned. Her cellmate is Gail Rubin (Meryl Streep), a woman who has been behind bars for 18 years for her peripheral involvement in a political protest. Both women have been unfairly served by the justice system, and they want out. This project is in the scripting stage (screenplay by Sheldon Turner), and is one of Jen’s most eagerly anticipated films.

Gambit Gambit is a remake of the 1966 film starring Shirley MacLaine (who, interestingly, played Jen’s grandmother in Rumor Has It). In it, Jen plays Nicole, the accomplice to Harry Dean (Colin Firth) in his attempt to steal a statue from multimillionaire Shabandar (Ben Kingsley). Lisa Bonet is in negotiations to costar.
Grace and Grit This project, while simply rumored at this point, is a particularly exciting prospect. It is about Treya Killam Wilber’s struggle with, and death from, breast cancer. The book, written by philosopher Ken Wilber (Treya’s husband), is a must-read; it is incredibly moving and discusses human truth quite eloquently. Word is that Jen is looking to produce and possibly to star as Treya (and dare I say she’d be perfect?). Should this project come to fruition, it will without a doubt be on the receiving end of major critical acclaim.
