Traveling and other stuff

Jen continues to film Traveling in Vancouver, and continues to look gorgeous all the while. As you can see in the above picture, her character is named Eloise! As more details continue to surface, I am getting even more excited about this movie. PopSugar has other pics of Jen and Aaron on the set; looks like they’re having fun together on the set, which can only mean good things for the costars’ chemistry. Jen looks particularly joyful lately, and it is wonderful to see.
It can be said that the true definition of a star is one who brings light into other people’s lives, and Jen’s new costar is not the only one who can attest to that. Someone whom Jen has known for far longer has recently revealed just how devoted Jen is to her friends.
In a recent essay (”Coke and Mirrors”) in Allure, Jen’s friend and hairstylist Chris McMillan reveals the details of his struggle with addiction, and what it took to get and stay sober in the beauty industry in Los Angeles, a particularly challenging environment. Not only does he detail the difficulties that he faced, but he also reveals just how important the support of those around him was in the recovery process, and that Jen was one of a dedicated few who stood by him unconditionally all the while. Some excerpts:
I was at Liberty House for 16 months. I didn’t work at all for the first ten - I was focusing on getting sober. And I had some very good friends calling me. Courteney, Jennifer, my agent, and Cameron Diaz were all there for me. Cameron said, “I would rather have you be my friend than my hairstylist. I want to see my friend healthy and sober.” It was such a blessing to find out that I had such real friends, especially in a town and an industry that can seem so full of shit. It reassured me that the world is good, and I was worth more than the hairstyles I could create.
One day, Jennifer came to see me at a salon where I had started working and told me she was getting married. We had always talked about me doing her hair for her wedding. So when the time came for her to ask, I said yes. I wasn’t nervous. I felt ready. The first comeback job I got was a high-profile celebrity one - the biggest I’d ever had. I was right back in the game, and I didn’t have to start at the bottom. It felt like a gift.

Jen looks marvelous-as Billy Crystal used to say!!! Had no clue that Chris battled those demons. Glad to hear that he has conquered them and that CC, Cameron, and Jennifer were there for him. Good read-thanks Erin!
